The Wanderlust Crossbody Sling

Mass-market travel bags rely on fragile zippers that snag, and thin synthetic straps that crack under the weight of daily use. This minimalist envelope sling is cut and finished by hand on our bench in Ave Maria, Florida, utilizing thick, full-grain vegetable-tanned leather to withstand the daily friction of travel and transit. Instead of sewing the strap directly into the side seams—creating a weak tear point—the adjustable utility strap feeds entirely through reinforced leather loops cut directly from the bag's outer wings and is anchored with solid brass rivets. Proportioned to sit flat against the body under a jacket or over a coat, the main pocket secure-snaps shut to house a large smartphone, passport, card wallet, and keys. Sourced from historic US tanneries, the vegetable-tanned leather will absorb the physical wear of your journeys, burnishing and softening into a deeply personalized heirloom over years of continuous carry.

Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. Sourced from historic US tanneries (Wickett & Craig / Horween); highly resilient hide that resists tearing.

Modular Strap

Adjustable leather wrap-around. Threads through reinforced side loops and adjusts via solid brass buckle; eliminates stress points.

Construction

Hand-cut, then machine-stitched one piece at a time on our bench. Side seams sewn with heavy-gauge waxed cord; backed by solid brass rivets.

Interior Capacity

Secure flat-profile envelope. Fits standard and large smartphones, passport, keys, and cards; matches our Seamless Rosary Pouch layout.
